This is a paragraph rant! This is a paragraph rant! This is a paragraph rant!
Here's where's to write about really annoying situations we find in this world at this present moment. Unlucky for us. Luckily we can write it on pages like these in an attempt to open up conversations a bit different to "normal" in our modern day societies.
Here are a few examples:
- Let's do the time warp again!
There is a reason why New Years Eve can easily freak out anyone who thinks about it seriously enough to realise that they get you so hyped up to reset the time warp so that you can just go around the wheel once again without ever stopping to wonder if you could ever do something...different?
- Let's talk pizza!
So I recently got to experience working in a pizza factory. Being my second workhouse of the 21st century job, I got to integrate my time and services to this "machine", which meant for me full shifts spent in my head contemplating why exactly it is that we have come to this point of going to so much effort, wasting so much energy and resources, for something as simple as solving the fact that somebody wanted to eat a pizza?! Really, it's only an example of the many things used by these space invaders to generate an environment so far removed from what could be optimal for this planet, to say the least. So, let's think of our given example, pizza (a good example too, as most seem to love eating pizza!). From the idea of somebody wanting to eat a pizza without the need of making the pizza for themselves generates: a) a lot of perfectly edible pizzas being thrown away and when I say a lot, I mean A LOT. b) the need for lots of people to become involved in making your pizza everyday. c) need for A LOT of energy to run the machinery to make your pizza (+ the energy from whatever you use to heat it up once you take it home). d) a disinterest in what the food you are eating-what it is or where it comes from, which, considering that you nutrition your body mainly through food (for the great amounts that we consume of it, not because it is the most nutritious) it may answer a lot of questions as to why people aren't becoming healthier as they get richer in the "Western" world (where they buy a lot of ready-made pizza).
I believe I could get to the letter "z" with reasons why it appears to me that there isn't really any need in this world for places and situations like "pizza factories". I used to love watching videos of "How It Works" and I've always been intrigued by how "things" work, yet I found myself shocked at how lacking in intelligence this machine was! You would think that it would become part of the military's budget for technological advancement after pizza has proven so popular?! So, after all of this it generates enough of somethingfor some people to think that it is worth it. What happened to all of these claims to ensuring we "save the planet" collectively? We know where we should start...with these types of places. Do we want to talk about the rise in obesity amongst societies? Is it really the best we can do to ensure we eat good, clean food? You want to question what all of those employees would do without their job?- yeah, because there is nothing else better for somebody to do, more beneficial for life, than just allowing them to earn some more cash whilst straining your body to ensure the making of thousands of pizzas? Is it necessary for some corporation to consume so much from the planet to get a profit in return using the excuse that they "provide a service" to us and we don't get to question their true ethics? Why can't we just learn how to make a pizza at home? Honestly, it is really easy and tastes so much better!
- Let's talk about drawing a close to dog poo left lying around in plastic bags. Not for comedy value, but seriously...No, this doesn't seem to be a solution to making the environment cleaner. It has just put more plastic where it shouldn't be. Don't pretend that it makes the streets cleaner- now there are just bags of dog shit lying around everywhere (including where you wouldn't find it before!) and you still know it...AND avoid the subject, or worse, just moan about it. Not to mention dogs now in the awkward position of having to watch somebody try to collect their poo in the most descrete way possible, no matter the shape or form, then have to carry it around until a "waste disposal unit" can be found - unless they decided to just throw it anywhere else, in which case, WHAT IS THE POINT????
- How many times can one talk about how nice food tastes in a lifetime without realising that you have already had that conversation almost every day of your life. If you were a 5 year old, maybe I could understand your enthusiasm, otherwise it just seems that you are avoiding "the elephant in the room."
- The conversation goes as follows: -I got so pissed last night. I feel like shit. -Once again. Yet you knew the consequences. Well done you.
30.4.21 (Something from break time!) Did this really happen?
Did a virus come along and start whipping people at their feet,
without any help from the mainstream media fleet?
Think about it now- just what would there have been
in terms of panic and anxiety in society,
if it wasn't for Gates and Murdoch's teams ready at the "crime scenes"?
What would you have seen?
If it wasn't for your TV screens telling you to feel the fear,
constantly reminding you that a "big bad virus" is here,
can you honestly say that you would have still felt an earnest need
to wear a mask and be scared just to breath?
Who is pulling the wool over your eyes?
Who is the saviour in disguise?
